Every learner answers. Every lesson.
Classwise turns any lesson, in any subject, into one your whole class takes part in. Each learner holds a Classpad. The teacher runs it from one computer on the board. No tablets, no smartphones, no school Wi-Fi needed.
Classwise is made by Photon Education. ChinguBots is the official Classwise distributor in South Africa.
How it works
Three parts, and the teacher only has to learn one of them.
1. The teacher opens a lesson
The Classwise app runs in a browser on the computer the school already has — Windows, Mac or Chromebook — or straight on an interactive whiteboard. Pick a ready-made lesson or build your own.
2. Every learner answers
Each learner has a Classpad with four backlit buttons that match the colours on the board. They vote, answer and take quizzes. The whole class responds, not only the three who put up their hands.
3. The teacher sees who got it
Results come up immediately, and the app keeps a record per learner for attendance, marks and reporting. A learner can also flag that they are lost, anonymously.
What comes in the box
Every kit is complete. There is nothing else to buy to run your first lesson.
Classpads
One per learner, shaped like a game controller so younger hands can hold it. Four buttons with raised patterns you can tell apart by touch, LED backlighting, and a gentle vibration when an answer registers.
The charging tower
Holds every Classpad on magnetic slots, charges the whole set from one cable, and carries from classroom to classroom by the handle. It runs off its own charge, so a lesson can happen outside.
The wireless receiver
Plugs into the teacher’s computer by USB and handles the two-way link between the board and every Classpad. Nothing to configure.
The carry case is included
We include a padded carry case with every Classwise kit. The whole tower, the Classpads and the receiver zip into it, so the set travels between classrooms, goes home with a teacher for planning, or gets locked away at the end of the day without anything coming loose.
It has a shoulder strap and a grab handle, and a mesh pocket for the charging cable.
The platform comes with it
Buying a Classwise kit includes access to the Classwise platform. It is a one-off cost. There is no annual licence and no per-teacher subscription.
Lessons your teachers already have
Import an existing PowerPoint or PDF lesson and build questions around it. Generate a set of questions with AI, or paste a batch in from Excel. Teachers can share what they make with each other.
A register that sets itself up
Paste your class list in and Classwise assigns a numbered Classpad to each learner. Benjamin is always number one, on the red light. The teacher hands them out and the register is done.
Results you can actually use
Every assessment is logged, so a teacher can look at one lesson, one topic or a whole year, for the class or for one learner. Results export to PDF or Excel, which means they can go to a parent or into a report without being retyped.
No internet for the learners
The Classpads talk to the receiver directly. Learners never log in, never scan a QR code and never touch the school Wi-Fi.
Why schools take it
It works in every subject
Classwise is not a robotics kit. It is used in Maths, Languages, Life Skills, Natural Sciences — wherever a teacher wants the class to answer.
It saves preparation time
The lesson library and editable templates mean a teacher adapts something that exists instead of building from a blank page.
No devices to buy
One teacher computer and a projector or board is the whole requirement. No tablet trolley, no learner laptops, no smartphones in the classroom.
One-off cost, no subscriptions
You buy the kit and the platform comes with it. No annual renewal to budget for and no per-teacher licence.
Set up in minutes
Plug in the receiver, hand out the Classpads, teach. No installation on the school’s computers and no IT project.
What the research says
Photon Education cites two findings for gamified, challenge-based learning. We pass them on as they were published, and the studies are not South African.
Gamification improved memory and recall by 40%, in a study by the Federation of American Scientists.
Challenge-based, gamified learning raised performance by 89%, in a study of 365 students at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Technical University of Athens.
