Our Story: Igniting Minds and Inspiring Futures

For the past decade, we embarked on an extraordinary journey as educators in Geoje, South Korea. Guided by our passion for teaching and our unwavering belief in the power of education, we dedicated ourselves to enhance our own knowledge of education.

During this time, we had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the incredible impact of robotics programs on students’ education. We saw how it sparked their curiosity, fostered critical thinking, and nurtured a deep understanding of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM) concepts. Inspired, we knew that we had to bring this transformative experience home to students in South Africa.

And so, ChinguBots was born.

Chingu, meaning “cool” in Xhosa and “friend” in Korean, reflects our vision of creating a friendly and inclusive environment where students can collaborate, learn, and grow. We wanted to establish a community of learners, where students could forge strong bonds, support one another, and collectively embark on a journey of discovery.

With our experiences as educators and our deep understanding of effective teaching methods, we set out to curate a collection of robotics kits that would captivate young minds and empower them to become the inventors and problem solvers of tomorrow. We carefully selected top-quality components and technologies, ensuring that our robotics kits were not only durable but also capable of delivering the best educational experiences.
